Elle, I missed that g-e-m, but I was generally one of about three men attending Chris Williamson concerts in the 80s. (I knew all the words.) In fact, I have Meg Christian's greatest hits in my car right now ("Ode to a Gym Teacher" LOL). I always found Holly Near annoying and too full of herself. My friends gave me a button that says "dykeling" with a cartoon of a duck. I was honored.

Just a bunch of Brokies at a birthday brunch for Elle in a cool cafe in Seattle! Amanda out from Pittsburg. RouxB up from Santa Barbara. Lynne, now a local, loving the rain. Pete Tannen and his pal David touring lumberjack country far from San Francisco. And Oregondoggie...Portland.

Group had a high-time brunch. Kinda suspected Jack and Ennis were frying things up in the kitchen. They are sure to be hangin around anytime a few of us get together. Oregondoggie, driving back to Portland, thought he'd never had such a good meal... even though Elle never did sing them salty words to "Strawberry Roan"....

Thanks Larry. That was sweet of you to see that as a birthday brunch for me. I love my Brokenback rock, thank you for that. And them cinnamon rolls we shared, the size a mountains.

It was really fun, and I enjoyed getting to know you and everyone better.

All names of the offspring of an A-litter thus begin with "A"; pups or kittens from an F-litter begin with "F" (like in the above pic), and so on. All purebred dogs have a kennel name (kind of last name) and a given name that indicates in which litter they were born into (kinda like a first name).
And often enough, they additionally have a name by which they are called. If your dog is officially named "Xanthippe of the Golden Fields" you might still want to call call her "Susie" (or whatever).

Finally, she could vote and sign contracts!

My son was born at 8 a.m. on March 1 in a leap year, so he almost had that situation. I told him all about that when he was really little, and later he asked me to remind him about that thing that he was almost born on. He called it "Kangaroo Day."
