OMG...Mikaela was right. Everything on him is bulging. He is one big bulge.

I agree with you, Chrissi. I think poor Jake did go OTT with the whole body-building for this role. I've said before that he looks like a hulking Neanderthal. 


Not that there aren't things to appreciate even so!! So I agree with the resident 14-year old too.     Once he dons some vestige of clothes to tone down the chest bulges I don't mind the biceps, those are verrrry nice. And as for the bulge in his pants - (not to beat about the bush... uhm *groan* I guess that wasn't the best term to use under the circumstances!) - I'm only acknowledging the fine work of the costume people who stuffed the sock they apparently deposited down there and outlined it with such a fetching contrasting colour seam! 


The strange thing is that the images I've seen of Jake in PoP get-up but out of character looks pretty dreadful. The too-built gleaming body, the awful caveman hair - it just doesn't go with Jake being cute/goofy *Jake*. But I have to admit that some of the movie stills and promo pics, where he's wearing strategically placed leather straps and "armour" and stuff, and the hair has been styled artfully back, and he looks really angsty.... now those do seem to hold some certain promise, that can't be denied!!

He looks *ever* so much better and more interesting than in the bulging PoP version with all its gleaming muscles and artful codpiece and leather straps on display.
