Happy First Anniversary to Ember and Fran!

Thanks, Sandy.  The funny thing is, I did attempt to buy that card online -- figuring I could easily duplicate them and send them to my fellow whippet lovers -- but there was trouble with the order and I never pursued it.  :(  I do believe I'm going to go back to that website....

Awww! What a cute picture!!! :-*

Congratulations on your special day, Fran and Ember!!! 8)

Thank you, David.  I think you and del are tied at being Ember's greatest fans.   ;)

I am.  ;D

She has that long dog nose that needs to be constantly kissed and those long supermodel dog legs and paws, she's just begging to be cuddled every hour.

There's been plenty of snow in Ember's neck of the woods:

Great coat, Fran.  I wondered if Ember had little snow booties;  I saw them on a little doggy this morning.

No snow boots for Ember.  I did try putting Madison's old boots on her, but my silly girl doesn't realize she they're made for walking, not chewing.  Plus, when Ember has to go, she really has to go, and there's no time to put boots on a dog, especially one who's not cooperating.  So, we got some Musher's Secret instead.  I think that's the same stuff your mom uses on her greyhound's feet.

Which reminds me, how is Tara doing?  I've been meaning to ask.

Yes, Musher's Secret is good stuff.

Sadly, Tara is on her last legs, literally.  She's become very weak in her hind legs, and is showing her age.  This very snowy winter has been pretty hard on her too.  The vet isn't too hopeful, either.

Well, my mom knows that adopting the elderly greyhounds means they won't be around that long.  I still think it's great that she has given two sweet old ladies a nice life.

Oh, no.  I'm sorry to hear this.

Yes, your mom is a very special lady indeed to adopt the seniors.
