It's still hard to see Heath in Ennis. When I look at those pics of course I know it's Heath who played Ennis, but to me, it IS Ennis, not Heath.
Guess this derives from the feeling of Ennis and Jack being so real, not fictional characters.

When I see Casanova, oh yes, that's Heath playing the character of Casanova, or it's Heath playing Gabriel Martin, or Dan or whatever character. Not with Ennis. Ennis just IS period.

I know. I feel exactly the same.

Even Annie Proulx said Heath knew Ennis better than she did and she created this character. That's quite a statement to make as an author.

Thanks for the pictures Chrissi.  :)

Thanks for the Ennis pictures, Chrissi. What a treat. I was thinking about what has been said and realised that there are only a few films where I completely forget it is Heath. BBM is one, but I also do not see Heath in TDK.That is different though because of all the makeup.

I also realised he hardly ever uses his own voice.I strugggle to think of another actor, who has such a wide range of accents, intonatons etc.Even now, listening to old interviews, his real voice comes as a shock.Even the real greats, eg Rchard Burton etc, it is still their accent and voice. Heath must have been a very good mimic at school Iwould think!

Love you Heath Ledger.

Now, I want a movie done about your life, an 2 hours one.

What do you think of that ?

Bag it ?
