Very funny! Thanks for posting Phillip. :)
I've had the best of both worlds: I've met a lot of nice Americans while in Canada :) ;)

That was hilarious!
Actually I have stated before that I wish I had my cats 'mommy insurance" She's fully covered by me! Whatever she needs, she gets. Wish I could get that! :(

Thanks Kelda.
I don't know what it is like to live in a country with a national health plan. I'm sure it's not perfect by any means. But what we have going here is a disaster. The American government makes it sound like national health a 3 headed demon. There are people who live close enough to the border who go to Canada to get their prescription meds because they are so much cheaper. Our government advises that people should not do that because they cannot guarantee that the medications are "safe". They act like Canadians get their medications dispensed out of a rusty old can!

Ah yes, I guess we are lucky in that way but its when you hear about people that wait so long for important things it really grates on me - my sister had a lump on her chest and they wer saying she would have to wait 18 weeks to get it cut out - thats just ridiculous. what if it had been cancer?
Thats when i think I should think about private healthcare. You'd be in seeing the exact same doctor - but in 2 days....
