==comment==from IMDb==

Actor Will Sampson, probably the greatest Native American actor to date, stars as Fish Hawk, the best of the few leads roles of his all too short career. Fish Hawk is a Cherokee living in the Ozarks, suffering from alcoholism after the death of his family, who works as a part time hunter. He gains clarity after the accidental killing of his best friend, his hunting dog. He temporarily takes residence with a nearby family and befriends the son, who Fish Hawk later saves from a sick wild pig. Highly superior to other backwoods dramas such as "Where the Red Fern Grows," this film is strangely neglected and is deserving of cult status.

Will Sampson also played "The Chief" in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest."

from imdb:
"Through concert performances and interviews, this film offers us an "inside look" at this famous rock group, "The Who". It captures their zany craziness and outrageous antics from the initial formation of the group to its major hit "Who Are You", and features the last performance of drummer keith Moon just prior to his death.  Written by Concorde - New Horizons (with permission)."

I adored this film when I was a kid.  Diane Lane was irresistible, and Laurence Olivier!  Venice! Paris! A kiss under the Bridge of Sighs at sunset while the bells of the campanile are tolling! Beautiful music.

It's hard to believe, but I was once a Mel Gibson fan.  Those were simpler times  ;D
