I don't know anything about this project except that the book is a best seller and it sounds kinda awful, lol!.

From The New Yorker
At the age of thirty-one, Gilbert moved with her husband to the suburbs of New York and began trying to get pregnant, only to realize that she wanted neither a child nor a husband. Three years later, after a protracted divorce, she embarked on a yearlong trip of recovery, with three main stops: Rome, for pleasure (mostly gustatory, with a special emphasis on gelato); an ashram outside of Mumbai, for spiritual searching; and Bali, for "balancing." These destinations are all on the beaten track, but Gilbert's exuberance and her self-deprecating humor enliven the proceedings: recalling the first time she attempted to speak directly to God, she says, "It was all I could do to stop myself from saying, 'I've always been a big fan of your work.'"

The badly received feature starring the much maligned Hayden Christensen.  (One critic said that HC was.."one Corvette Summer away from becoming a voice actor for cartoons.".  Nasty!

It also stars Jamie Bell, one of my favourite cuties who, I just learned, will be replacing Daniel Radcliffe on stage in Equus!  Has he already?  That would be worth a trip to London for sure!

Wong Kar-Wai's  first English language film which is sadly not getting very good buzz.  Same with Noah Jones' performance.  But, hey, Jude Law is in it and he'll be in The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus...LOL!

Plot outline from IMDb:  "Through the experiences of two amateur Bigfoot researchers in Appalachian Ohio, we see how the power of a dream can bring two men together and provide a source of hope and meaning that transcend the harsh realities of life in a dying steel town. "
