IMDb plot outline: Bill Maher's take on the current state of world religion.
I'm looking forward to that!

I like the whole cast for this one ...

Wanted

Director: Timur Bekmambetov
Stars: Morgan Freeman, James McAvoy, Angelina Jolie (Full Cast)
Studio: Universal Pictures

The Plot: When Wesley Gibson (McAvoy) discovers his recently murdered father was an elite assassin, the young man is recruited into his father's old organization and trained by a man named Sloan (Freeman) to follow in his dad's footsteps.

That looks interesting, it's apparently based on a graphic novel.  Bekmambetov also directed Night Watch and Day Watch (and another sequel called Twilight Watch)  none of which I've seen but I've heard Night Watch is pretty good.

"Z" is Zack and Miri Make a Porno

I'm looking forward to seeing this one, since deciding I like Seth Rogen.  Directed by Kevin Smith.  Also has Craig Robinson, whom I really like.

IMDb Plot Outline:
Lifelong platonic friends Zack (Rogen) and Miri (Banks) look to solve their respective cashflow problems by making an adult film together. As the cameras roll, however, the duo begin to sense that they may have more feelings for each other than they previously thought.

Six degrees of Heath: Rudolph Valentino died in 1926 at the age of 31. His funeral was at the Frank E. Campbell funeral home (same as Heath, although I think it was in a different location in those days). There were more than 80,000 mourners out in the street who nearly caused a riot.

Thanks for the welcome.  I have quite a bit of catching up to do.  It could take a loooong time to watch all the promising films listed in this thread.  I look forward to contributing more here.

I know. I had to sign up for netflix just to catch up on some of the movies I saw listed here! Make sure to watch Wages of Fear from 1953. Soooo good!

I looked up Wages of Fear and the plot seemed familiar, then I found that I had seen the remake:

Remade in 1977 by William Friedkin (following "The Exorcist,") as "Sorcerer."

I will try to catch the original now that I know about it.  Thanks!

The Sorcerer is good but the original is much, much better. It's a Criterion Collection movie so you should be able to find it at a decent video rental store. They also have it on netflix.
