dang Phil is cold...
Kelda:
Roadblock.
After season 5 they brought it an rule where one person can do a max of 6 roadblocks. This was to make it fairer for the non macho treams really. And also to make sure that each team member pulls their weight.
If you like in season 3 for example - Zach did I think all but one of the roadblocks and Flo did one. Perhaps if flo had had to do her fair share they might have been knocked out. Also Ian did 8 roadblocks and Teri only 2.
And they came 1st and 2nd in TAR 3
In season 4, Kelly did 2 roadblocks and John did 8. They came 2nd. Then there was the all girl team of Tian & Jaree. Tian did every single roadblock. Cos Jaree was bloody useless.
In season 5, Chip & Kim won. And he did 9 roadblocks and she did 1.
Yeah I think Phil was good speaking out about the dynamic. I'm more with Andrew here. For me - TAR is all about the experience for me. Not the money.
Kelda:
I've jusr watched the latest episode of the amazing Race Asia 3.
I tell you what, if you guys have access to torrent, you should have a look at TAR Asia. I've seen all three seasons now, and the second one I thought was tough, but this season is much tougher.
These guys are put through a LOT more strain than their US counterparts. They stuff a lot more stuff in each leg, the legs are gruelling.
its quite interesting becasue in TAR Asia there is a lot more nationalities. As its for the whole of Asia. So Japan, India, Thiland, Manilla, Hong Kong, Phillipeans etc etc are all represented.
Kelda:
weesh a triple posting by me ....But meh - I love TAR more than Brokeback I think!
Anyway... Dan-drew well they are such bumbling idiots that I actually love them.
I quite enjoyed Tina & Ken doing so badly for once. They've been doing too good. Its nice that you see each team in good and bad scenarios to see how they react.
And I don't want Starr & Nick to win. I dont hate them but I dont want them to win. Coll they prize they got a CAR each!? How good is that!?!
I hope they are in India next week as I want to see more things that will interst me for when I land in india.
At least I know what International arrivals looks like now tho!! But I dont think that while I'm in Delhi I'll need to go to Moon Motors in Delhi.
Interestingly, TAR Asia were also in India this week, but in Cochin - they washed hefalumps.. sooo cool!
