I liked them before last week's freak out bit now, I dont want them to win I dont rekon, really in terms of performance Tammy & Victor should win and they actually have been a decen funny team the whole way through apart from that little blip in Romania. But three legs in china is a bit of an unfair advantage for them!
Felt sorry for Jen, but didn;t like their comment at the airport 'me no speak english' - ugly americanism!

Yes. That was uncalled for. I'm surprised we didn't hear a similar comment from Jamie. She's earned the blue ribbon for inappropriate comments and behavior. >:( :P

heh, I know, but she has a dinger in the next episode preview.... did you see it?
SEE THIS IS WHY I DIDNT WANT TO COME TO CHINA!!
I was personally glad it was a non elim. It would have been a shame for Jen to go out because of her fear.
But also it made me smile cos Luke was bing a dick in the car saying..... "HAHAHAHA they're going out cos they're so rubbish in water"

It wouldn't be a shame at all! If you are applying to be on the Amazing Race, you should make damn well sure that your neurotic and paralysing fears are taken care of. before you go. And for god's sake learn how to Swim, Drive (including Stick) and RUN. I have very little sympathy for people who go on there unprepared.
Victor & Tammy are still my faves, they deserve to win. Margie and Luke are still milking that ridiculous argument from last week. Read my liips: let it go!

Well, this is very true, and agreed if I was on it I would also try to make sure I had everything covered but if you have a paralising fear you can understand why you freeze when it actually came to it.. even if you ahd mentally prepared yourself for it and she did do the swimming in the end.
Did you notice Tammy said she had had swimming lessons before she came on the race? You go girl!
Which brings me to another point which you mentioned- why do they never learn how to drive a geared car? WHY!? It's honesty not hard once you get than hang of it. For gawds sake go get some lessons cos you KNOW you're going to encounter a stick shift on the race. Geez!
David In Indy:
Back when I took Driver's Ed in 1977, we learned how to drive on both automatic and manual shift cars, although I didn't purchase my first manual shift car until 1984, which was a Renault Encore. Every time I have travelled overseas and rented a car it has always been a stick shift. Kelda is correct, when you leave North America chances are you will be driving a manual transmission car. That has been my experience anyway.
