This is the first time in years that I started the new year without seeing 'Dinner for one'.  :-\

We usually see it after midnight and after the fireworks. But yesterday the last time it was aired was 12.02am. When we got back inside from looking at the fireworks, it was over  >:(.

Uh-uh. Hope this doesn't bring bad luck. Additionally, I did laundry between Christmas and New Year's Day. You aren't supposed to do laundry "between the years", it brings bad luck.

Danm, I'm one brave woman these days, challenging higher forces like this  ;) :laugh:

Morning all,

24 degrees and sunny now. It snowed all night and schools are closed today, so my daughter gets an extra day of vacation! I have to decide what I am going to do...stay home or work? Hmmm....

The thing that is amazing is...yesterday was comparatively warm. The temp got up to the mid 30s during the day. Then overnight, this blast of Arctic air came through. Brrr!

They are talking about a "January thaw" next week. I'll keep you posted!
