Hi Janice,

I am doing fine. Yes, I have a very quick trip to Tampa planned for the end of the month! Too short for lounging by the pool but hopefully I'll have enough time to thaw out from all this cold weather!

This one is all alone. I am basically going for dinner on Thursday night, a meeting Friday morning, then home. Short and sweet!

Well it is about time we had some weather here in the Golden State.

But did it have to be a whole year's rain in two days?  The wind is howling now and turned my umbrella inside out on my way to work!  They are predicting enormous dumps of snow in the mountains, and we are just getting into the "heavy rain" part of the rain about now east of the city.

Well, I just rolled in after spending an entire day on the train from South Bend, Indiana to NYC.  Door to door, it was 23 hours!  :P  :P  :P

I do love the train, but sometimes it can be just too much.  There was lots of snow and arctic cold in Indiana, and they sat me near the door that they opened and closed to let people embark and debark.  I froze most of the way.  Then finally, when we were on the last stretch from Albany to NYC, the generator pooped out and we lost the lights and the heat entirely.  Eventually, they jammed us onto another train and we got into NYC 2-1/2 hours late.  Oy!  :P

I did call Phillip when we passed through Rochester, but I had to leave a message, since he didn't pick up.  Hope he got it!  8)

Complain to Amtrak. I mean that. Seriously.

I did last summer when the railroad's bum equipment made me miss the boat from Boston to Provincetown.

As a result, I recieved a travel voucher that will essentially pay my trainfare to Boston when I go to Provincetown this coming summer.  :D

So by all means, complain to Amtrak.
