I work at a job close to full time, my son is raised, my house looks the same it ever did, I am a member of three horse associations, I am active with the local 4H, I give horse riding clinics for low income children twice a year,  most of my friends are also participants in the same clubs I am in. I recently finished reading "The Year of Living Biblically" by AJ Jacobs. Tonights supper was stuffed peppers, a recipe I got from Roland and I took TWO showers today...(you would have too if you had to do what I did today)

Very impressive, Jess!  :)

How did you like it? I thought the reviews looked interesting. And I read part of a book where that same guy read through the entire encyclopedia. It was pretty funny.

the clinics are SO much fun, Jeff. I love doing it. I wish I could do it all the time...but it takes a lot of time and effort. It is so cool to see the kids with the horses. The boys are the cutest cause they are all macho you know...KNOW everything....aint' skeert....until the horse moves....

most have never been around horses at all. I love how quickly they gain confidence...they seem to just walk taller after they have ridden a  time or two. There is just something about being in control of a 1000 pound animal that gives you a good feeling.

That is so NEAT!!!

18. Forget about doing laundry. You have no job, no friends, and you don't bathe (eeew), why do you need clean clothes?

You mean you guys wear clothes?   :o  With no job and no friends, I just hang out in pajamas.

33 degrees and frost on the car this morning. Fortunately, it is Saturday and I don't have to rush out, so I don't have to wonder whether or not to start the car to warm it up today!

36 degrees here, with a weak winter sun trying to make its way through a haze. No snow on the ground since last week's weird 50-something weather.

We still have snow, but a whole lot less of it than this time last week. Erb, the stray cat (or perhaps I should say 'feral feline') who lives under our deck has appeared for the first time in weeks and is sunning himself in the big patch of lawn that has appeared in the midst of our backyard. Quite a difference from 10 days ago! (This picture was taken on Jan 2.)

I just checked my journal from last year.   March 17th was the last measurable snowfall, although we had snow squalls on April 5th.

You keep a journal David? - I've never had the patience or staying power to do that since I was a little kid.... I get bored too easily to do something for more than a few minutes straight never mind to do something every day!!!

I hate computers!    >:(

This morning I went to sign on as usual and KA-BOOM!  It crashed and burned.   :'(

Windows wouldn't even start.  Missing or corrupt files blah blah blah.

So I grabbed my trusty Windows XP disc and decided to reload again..

No luck.   It was beyond repair.   ARGGGGGGGGG!

Well, my computer was old.  At least 5 years old.   That's like 200 in dog years.
So I did what any self respecting person would do.     I called out sick from work.  (cough cough)
Dragged my computer outside and shot it like a lame horse.

Then I drove to Circuit City and bought a new Gateway desktop PC.  A new HP printer too.    So here it is after 2pm and I'm just getting around to BetterMost.    It only took several hours to get online including one call to Tech support in India at $1.95 a minute.   SHEESH!

Now I am sitting here like a deer with headlights in its eyes.  I just realized that every email address is gone.  All my favorites.  All my downloaded porn.   :'(

So if I'm not here too much in the next few days it is because I'm starting from scratch.

Boy - computers are great when they work, but when they dont!? bah!

One thing that the wireless going on the laptop made me do is somethign I've been meaning to do for AGES. We had to reinstate the laptop to factory setting to see if that would fix the settings before it ewas sent away. It didn't but it did make me go to the shop and buy an external hardrive, so we could save all our stuff onto it so not to lose it. i think I would'd literally cry for days if I lost all my digital photos. I also exported all my favourites over too - must export them back actually.
