It stopped snowing awhile ago and it warmed up enough that we didn't need to shovel the driveway (although I did need to scrape off the car before I went out). Just know, peeking up through the snow, I saw the little green tips of crocuses and daffodils so I am starting to feel like...maybe this winter is really on the wane!

   I just got home from going to Hospital to visit my Moms cousin.   He is 67, never married, lives in the house he grew up in.   He runs a one-person business that apparently barely keeps him supported.

From there he was rushed by Helicopter to a burn unit in Bridgeport an hour away.     

   They are still not sure he will be able to keep his legs at this point.    He was barely lucid today when we saw him.   All he worries about is his business.    I have a feeling that if he pulls through this he won't be working anymore.  And at this point his house will have to be sold to pay the hospital bills.   

   Count your blessings folks.   Life can go from tranquil to disaster in a flash.

Too true, David....I am so sorry to hear this.
