we had very bad thunder and lighting for about 2 hours today - it was 3pm and it looked like the middle of the night!

I love that! Always have loved thunder and lightning storms; the darker, the better. Standing at the window and watching the lightning.

heh - but I had to then get in a little tin electric box to go home (train!) in the storm - not so good!
