I love all these state, city and provincial seals! They are all very interesting, and I love things like this! Paul, it's interesting how they spelled Massachusetts in your state seal: " Massachusettensis". Maybe this is how they spell it in Latin?

David, my Latin is a bit rusty, but I believe "Sigillium Republicae Massachusettensis" means "the Seal of the Republic of Massachusetts".  Must be one of those pesky endings.

I like Indiana's:  a lot prettier and no weapons.

This is the Belgian coat of arms. It has the belgian lion in it (or 'Leo Belgicus'). It says 'L'union fait la force' or 'united we stand'.
