Thank you for the good wishes and concern, everyone.  It is a little scary, I'm also worried about the things you have all named (well, not so much getting chicken feet), and I have a much worse case than my daughter recently had.  So far, it's just been awful, not dangerous.

Chuck, I LOVE that cartoon.  How hilarious is that?

Good morning. It's 20 F in Philadelphia, snowing, and I don't have to go to work today!  :o

I'm shocked, actually. It wasn't even snowing when I got out of bed this morning. I had my breakfast, and then, purely as a formality, I decided to telephone our Building Status Line before I packed my lunch. To my surprise, the recorded message was that the building is closed because of the snow.

I know the city declared a snow emergency last evening, to keep the main streets free of parked cars. I haven't actually heard an accumulation figure for the city, though I heard a forecast for 2 to 4 additional inches of snow today.

There are many things I can do with the unexpected free day, so that it's difficult to choose what to do. I think the first thing to do will be to take a nap.  ;D

Yay for Jeff's unexpected day off and for Chuckie's four wheel drive, and his love for cold weather (brrr)!


We had the first springlike day yesterday. Temps finally back in the two digits and sunny. Today it's overcast, but the temperature is still up. So no complaints from my side either. :)

It's gorgeous here in New York.  I can hear snow plows as I sit here.

Thanks for the snow pics, Chuck!  Now I'm hoping John Gallagher will get out and take some of the snow-covered Apple.  8)
