At my job, we have a tradition that the birthday person brings in the treats for everyone. 

I got a large bowl of freshly cut fruit to server, for people who are gluten free, or following a New Year's resolution.   For everyone else, I got a cake and some canolli from a local bakery!

Nice! And thoughtful to bring the fruit for those with NY resolutions.

I work Saturdays and it's a day when there aren't many people in the building, but those who are bring food to share, and set it all out on top of a filing cabinet like a buffet. Cheese and crackers, cookies, cake, all kinds of things. My resolution this year is to stick to mainly to the cheese or olives, maybe a cracker or two, but passing up the cookies, cakes and other sweets.
