Heath Ledger - the grieving thread
Katie77:
OMG.....OMG.....that song.......beautiful........
Scott6373:
Let Evening Come
Let the light of late afternoon
shine through chinks in the barn, moving
up the bales as the sun moves down.
Let the cricket take up chafing
as a woman takes up her needles
and her yarn. Let evening come.
Let dew collect on the hoe abandoned
in long grass. Let the stars appear
and the moon disclose her silver horn.
Let the fox go back to its sandy den.
Let the wind die down. Let the shed
go black inside. Let evening come.
To the bottle in the ditch, to the scoop
in the oats, to air in the lung
let evening come.
Let it come, as it will, and don't
be afraid. God does not leave us
comfortless, so let evening come.

A sweet Aussie kid with such beautiful, sad, brown eyes.
southendmd:
For Heath, and for us, I offer this:
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

These beautiful posts, poems and video songs are beautiful, but make me cry. I am here at work with tears rolling down my cheeks, which isn't good. I think I will have to wait a little longer to come back here, once this unbelievable tragedy has really sunk in. . . . . . :'(
