Ennis !!!!!
Alma was married to him, Cassie wanted to be with him .Lureen was married to someone who wanted to be with him.But that is too easy.


Jack!!!!!
 Lureen was married to him,Alma and Cassie both lost Ennis because of him.He was in love with Jack even though he never said it out loud.Therefore could not settle with either Alma or Cassie.

Talk about a f---ed up mess.
If Ennis had just gone off with Jack,after the summer of BBM then none of the 3 women would have been hurt.In trying to do the "right" thing,Ennis only succeeded in either directly, Jack,Alma and Cassie, or indirectly,Lureen,hurting everyone.

Brokeback mountain,all 3 women lost their men to the idyll that was the summer of Brokeback.The hearts of Jack and Ennis belonged to each other,not to their women.
