exactly correct, bel. :)
I know the answer to your question, but I am going to let someone else answer. I've already been an eager student showing off my brokie trivia obsessions.
"here teacher, look at me" as I wave my hand to get attention!

a- Brooklyn - Annie Proulx granddaughter, named Brooklyn plays one of the Delmar girls.
q- does the particular sorority that Lashawn Malone belonged to at SMU have a certain "reputation"? and is the film making a further comment on LaShawn in that brief interaction with Lureen at the table of the 1978 charity dance? any ex sorority women out there who know what I am talking about, esp anyone who attended university here in TX?

Brooklyn is correct. However, I thought I read somewhere that Brooklyn Proulx was no relation to Annie. Do you have the real skinny?

A: Just a guess, based on my own sorority experience: Tri Delt (Delta Delta Delta) most likely had the "party girls" and Kappa Phi the more well-to-do girls who liked to lay claim to a bit more sophistication. Depending on your priorities, both were good houses to be a member of. Lureen most likely had the edge in the competition, though. It's very likely not an accident that those two sororities were chosen by our detail-conscious screenwriters and director.
Q: Who supplied Alma's wedding dress?
