Livejournal may be a confusing experience for people more accustomed to the forum-style of interactive communication. There are a few minor processes you need to follow in order to access this content, so I decided to quickly put together a list of steps to take to read the content.
1) You need to register at
www.livejournal.com and open a new account. It's a generally straightforward process. If you are going to register just to read this content, then stick with the basic info requested and follow any verification procedures (usually an e-mail with a link to click to activate an account).
2) Come back here and click
http://dontwanttosaygb.livejournal.com/10050.html which will take you back to the article. To protect their privacy and the integrity of their article, they have chosen to restrict its access to people who are on their "friends list." That means you need to request to be added to that list, and they need to approve it, to unlock the content and make it visible to you.
3) To request a friend list addition, I clicked:
http://dontwanttosaygb.livejournal.com/ and then, while logged into LiveJournal, at the top left of the page, I found a link to add them as a friend. I clicked that link and made the request.
4) You still won't be able to read the content until they accept your friend request, but they indicate they are checking and approving those requests regularly, so it should not take too long. You can then check back later in the day or the following morning and see if you can now read the article.
They have requested that people not cut and paste their work on other sites, so we should respect that and follow the proper procedure to gain access to the content. It won't take more than a few minutes, and from the sounds of it, will be well worth it.
I hope this helps folks.
