That's very kind of you,but I have to admit I only look like this when I go to the birthday club lunches at the club here.At that I need a vodka to get out the door.I made the mistake the 1st one I went to of ordering wine and carbohydrates !!!!Not only that but when the cake came round I ate that as well.Apparantly you take it home and look at it,not eat it.
OMG what a blunder,the rest had iced water with lemon and salad. So now I have a drink before I go and just pray for it to be over quickly.The good news is that after a large vodka I had enough Dutch courage to do the reading !!
I try every 3rd one to have an excuse not to go.You can imagine the frowns when I honestly answered someones question about best films seen with BBM.
In addition all kids are perfect.My brand of honesty is frowned apon.Well it would be if they hadn't all had botox.They all have analysts, but not because they are truly nuts like me!!!!

Thanks to all for such kind comments.Now if I can do it,anyone can. Have a swift vodka,and launch into it .Just don't look at it.I had to do all the computer bit with the sound off and half shut eyes.

I will second that,and everyone else too.I know I am the most shy person here.That is why the internet is such a good place for me.I have to work really hard at social functions not to have a panic attack.In fact for most of them I need a drink before I go.
The last event I attended in England before moving here, was a polo match.I was so terrified, I knocked back the free Bollinger, like it was going out of fashion.According to my husband I was going to Spain to ride horses on the beach with one of the polo players,and then passed out on the stairs attempting to get to bed.!!
Poor man has a lot to put up with some times.He knew I would not be going to Spain though,horses scare me nearly as much as big social events!!!
So go on everyone,do as I did,one quick courage boosting stiffener, then set video, read directly from the book, and download before the alcohol wears off, and with it your courage.
PLEASE, in fact PRETTY PLEASE. Truly if I can do it you all can.
Actually I will stop nagging,I would hate it if I felt under pressure to do something.
