If they hadn't killed off Liev Schreiber's character, the one who substituted for Grissom while Billy Peterson was away doing a play, I might have had hope. But on the basis of the information available now, I'm extremely skeptical.

Yeah, looks like it is a sure thing that he's leaving.
I believe it has been confirmed by at least one of the executive producers of the show.
Darn it.
I wonder how they'll script that into the show..
maybe something to do with Lady Heather tempting him to abandon it all and elope with her to some faraway, exotic island...?
I know I wouldn't turn that down ... 8)

Some CSI dates:
CSI: Season 9 will return on October 9 at 9pm.
Season five of CSI: New York will premiere at 10pm on September 24
CSI: Miami season 7 is the first to return at 10pm on September 22nd.

Anybody else see the season premier last night? I won't say anything specific so as not to spoil it, but I thought it was a very good episode, with lots of the neat forensics that got me hooked on the show in the first place. :)
