Over the weekend I was visiting Youtube and learned about an internet phenomenon, the "Numa Numa Dance".
Now of course the internet is a big place, and unless you are someone who stay up to date on everything like Cellardwellar you may not know about it, so I will attempt to present an evolutionary examination of it.
It begins in 2003 with the release of the song Dragostea din tei by the Moldovan pop group Ozone. The lyrics, in Romanian, have various translations, one possible meaning of the title is "Love from the Lime trees". It was released on most European Pop charts the following year and enjoyed a long ride until 2006. Here is the video:
