Well, my mother made the blanket for me. You know, I love cats, I love animals, I love MY cats, but I don't need/want any cat-postcards, cat-calendars, cat-mugs, mini-porcelain-cats, cat-curtains, cat-key-chains etc.. I'm too cool for that.. 8)
I have one picture of Sayif and Brokie in my flat, but that's because at the time I tried my new printer. The blanket you see on the picture is the only cat-paraphernalia I allow.. ;D But I like it and more importantly Sayif and Brokie love it! They take turns now, because before they would fit in it together. Not anymore.. :)

:laugh: I know the feeling... Except once I had a truly beautiful cat-calendar, all pics from adult cats, and all black and white. I really cherished this calender, because the photos were simply beautiful and artistic.
Since then I'm 'honoured' with corny coloured kitten calenders from friends and relatives... :-\

My mother has an over-sized stone-cat, sitting up elegantly in a kind of sky blue, which she wants to give me. I might take it - one day, 'cause that one I like. Only, blue, does not really fit my flat... :laugh:

Years ago, my stepfather (for some unknown reason) gave my mother a small owl made out of alabaster as a gift. The next time gift-giving came around, he gave her an owl picture made of metal bottle caps on wood. ???
Well, two owls, now that's a collection. So for several years he kept giving her owls made out of different materials. (Unfortunately no gold or platinum.) Finally, she told him she felt done with owls. (She had never been into them to begin with!)
So he swiched (again, no one knows why) to eggs made out of different kinds of stones.
