henrypie:
What Celeste said.
It is not your fault.  I'm so sorry it happened under your watch, but baby animals die (sometimes baby humans too), and it's one of the terrible facets of life.

You were good to those babies!

Front-Ranger:
I am glad you were able to talk about it here. Let's hope for the best for the third kitten.

nic:
That's right Front-ranger.  If anyone understands how it feels to be hurting & in pain it's us lot here.  Please feel free to vent here & tell us anything Jude.  Here is a piece of writing that has done the rounds on the internet.  It's more for those who have lost a pet that has been with them for a long time but I think you loved that little pair as much as you could in the time they were here.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow
Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially
close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow
Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our
special friends so they can run and play
together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and
our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are
restored to health and vigor; those who were
hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,
just as we remember them in our dreams of
days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for
one small thing; they each miss someone very
special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day
comes when one suddenly stops and looks into
the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His
eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run
from the group, flying over the green grass, his
legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your
special friend finally meet, you cling together in
joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The
happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands
again caress the beloved head, and you look once
more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long
gone from your life but never absent from your
heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Ellemeno:
nic, I have a friend who always used to send Rainbow Bridge to people when an animal of theirs died.  Thank you for posting it.

Jude, I'm so sad for you that those little charms died.  Their life with you was so beautiful, I am so happy about that.  Happy/sad/happy/sad.  I am grateful that you are sharing the journey with us.

Clarissa

vkm91941:
I am so sorry Jude.  I know you must be feeling just awful but those poor little guys had so much love and care from you in their short lives, they were blessed to have found you.  When I had to put my beloved Princess Peach to sleep I thought I'd never get over it, I blamed myself for not treating her condition more aggressively at first, then for treating it too aggresively and adding to her suffering later.  But the fact was my baby had a good life with someone who loved her and your kitties were likewise blessed. }}}}}}}Big Hug for you honey {{{{{{
