YES!!!!!!!  Just ran across this post today.  I'm SOOOooo happy that something is being put together.  Now I just have to create the patience to wait for it!

I take it this what the cover will look like.  Looks like its gonna be a great release!

Universal Studios Home Entertainment and Focus Features will release Brokeback Mountain: Collector's Edition on January 23rd, 2007. The acclaimed film - starring Heath Ledger, Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Williams, and Anne Hathaway - arrives in a new two-disc set featuring an anamorphic widescreen transfer, Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1 Surround tracks. The set promises all-new bonus materials, along with a set of limited edition postcards. Retail will be $26.98.

Is it possible to swoon big time over a DVD's artwork and cover? I think so because good golly, that French version is lovely! I really hope the European version of the collector's edition will look something like that.  8)

It is usually a mess by the time it is over.

I wasn't going to get the collector's edition, but if the art looks anything like the French release (and the theatrical release of the movie is on the first disk), I'll get the new version and donate my old one to a library or something.

I'd like to get rid of that crappy Oscars cover anyway.
Watch out. That poster has a low startle point.
