I love a good "show 'em what you got" story.  Such a satisfying way to changing people's perspective....much better than the Karate Kid model of having to kick someone's teeth in to make your point.

I arrived at someone's home last night for a talk on homeschooling gifted kids, and when I got there the first arrivals were all gathered around a laptop watching this, wowing at how inspiring it was.  Oh yeah, I'd seen it already, I nonchalantly indicated.  Thanks Yappie, for tuning us in!

Last night here in Australia, we had the grand final of Australia's Got Talent.

The talent was phenomenal, and all of the contestants were world class in their different genres. It amazes me what un-tapped talent is out there, and how it is sometimes just being in the right place at the right time, whether that talent is ever going to be life changing for a particular person.
