Here in Germany, all the world and his brother has read the book, it was a big, big bestseller. My husband and all in-laws have read it and recommended it. I haven't heard of anybody who, overall, didn't like it.

I've just ordered the book from my local library.  It's not a bodice-buster, book, is it?

I had to look up what bodice-buster is :laugh:.

Husband says no, not a bodice-buster.


And for all foreign speakers (or anyone who's not heard the expression):

bodice ripper 
–noun Informal. a modern Gothic novel or historical romance, usually in paperback format, featuring at least one passionate love scene, characteristically one in which the heroine vainly resists submitting to the villain or hero.

Also called bodice buster.
