The L Word: Any fans out there?

--- Quote from: Lucise on January 20, 2008, 12:37:57 pm ---Maybe she will be 'straightened out' at some point during this season, but I swear, this last episode, she put on more airs than she did in S4.. (and that's putting it mildly) lol.

Yeah, she's definitely one of the most difficult characters.  It was interesting that she was sort of pitched as a main "protagonist" in the first several episodes of Season 1.  I think we were all supposed to feel like we were being introduced to this big lesbian society through her eyes (rather naive at the time).

I never, honestly, would have guessed the direction her character has taken.  She was always troubled and sometimes a little disturbing.  But, as of Season 4, she really has gotten pretty extreme.  It will be fun to see how the writers deal with here as things move along.

Lumière:
Jenny, jenny, Jenny... lol

She isn't really part of 'the gang' anymore either.  She's pretty much alienated herself from everyone, especially after the whole 'Lez Girls' episode.  At this point in time, I think the only friends she may have left are Shane, Max(maybe) and that cute little dog of hers (who happened to be the subject of one of her hissy fits in S5, Ep. 1) .  ;D

Lumière:

Just finished watching another episode tonight...

Jenny ~ Gosh.  (see my most recent posts here on the subject)

-Overall vibe of this season - Fairly playful so far though some storylines are starting to heat up, especially: Tasha's under investigation by the military (charge: homosexuality); tension surrounding Bette/Jodi/Tina (things just escalated after today's ep.)..

One more thing - if you watched the S5 previews/cast interviews I posted earlier in this thread, the producers said there would be a lot more sex this season.  Well, I think they were right. lol.

Lumière:

S5 is now winding down ..
I think there are about 2 or 3 episodes left before the season is over.

I have enjoyed the season so far - some of the story lines were good, some highly unlikely though entertaining... there have been fun, sad, annoying, sexy moments ...
The L word is still I show I can relax and watch and be entertained.  I will definitely be adding this season to my dvd collection...I hope there will be a Season 6.

Amanda - I wish we were able to chat about these episodes as they aired.  :)

I just found a website today - ourcharts.com and on there, I located Ilene Chaiken's blog   (L Word creator)..

It is now clear that Season 6 will be the last season of the series.
Shyte.
I hoped for at least 2 more.  Damn, oh well, I hope they make S6 a damn good one!!  8)

In other L-Word news..

Yesterday's episode really felt good to me for some reason (I watched it twice).
Still can't give away no plot secrets but ...
The more I get to see of Tasha, the more I like her.  She went through rough times this season and it just made me happy to see her in a place where she was happy.  That and the fact that she is gorgeous and has the best voice/laugh ever. ;)
Last night's was a good show..

Still wondering when S5 DVDs become available to preorder...
