As I come up on my first BBM anniversary (Dec 27th) I can tell you honestly, the fever still rages.

I'll be celebrating my first anniversary on Jan 26. It opened in Australia on 26 Jan 2006 and I attended the first public screening. It was love at first sight for me. Now I can't imagine my life without Jack & Ennis  :)

Giving this a bump, because I had a request to do so!

I've just celebrated my second anniversary, Leslie (Jan 26), and I can tell you, without a shadow of a doubt, that  the Fever still rages in me, unabated.  :o

Thank's for the bump, Leslie. I've just re-distributed it, anew!  :D

Thanks for bumping, Leslile.  I don't think Brokeback Fever ever really goes away .... but, then, I'm not sure I want it to.  That warm spot in my heart feels good.    :)

There's an article in The Advocate (glbt magazine) with a tribute to Heath, and one of the people being interviewed mentions Brokeback fever. I am debating writing a letter to the editor and saying, "Hey, I wrote that!" Thoughts on whether I should or shouldn't?

Of course you should!

I remember Brokeback Fever. It was one of the first things I read after seeing BBM that made me realise that I wasn't going mad. That there was a name for it. And that I didn't need to get a cure.

Maybe there are others like that still out there. Who knows?

I did a google search on "Brokeback Fever" and it seems the term is used pretty commonly and not just in my essay. So...I probably won't write since I can't document the person was talking about my piece.

Still, it was great to see that my essay was number one on the google search I did!
