Hello, guys, I just wanna thank you all for being so awesome. You changed my mind and opened my eyes at some scenes. I finished the movie and I wanted to know all about it, to read others opinions and so. I've lost count of time when I started to read your posts, I realize now that it has been hours.
I told my friend(guy) to watch it and he seemed really pleased with the trailer. He also saw Brokeback mountain(like 10 times), Shelter and other stuff, he's straight, but he really likes them. I'll let you know what he taught about Free fall. (I'm saying this because someone said it would be nice to know a straight guy opinion)
Now about the movie, I think it's obvious I'm obsessed with it, ha ha.
The first time I watched it, I couldn't really concentrate, I mean...THE HOTNESS. All I could think about was the two of them making out and the two of them having sex and the two of them...The second time I began to understand what was really happening with Marc, with Kay, with Bettina. How symbolic some scenes were and how many reactions I didn't notice.

Welcome to our small obsession that is Freier Fall! Glad you found the forum, and that you like the conversations here.
I think most people, like you, find that the initial viewing is focused on the relationship; but the more times you see the movie, the more layers you can peel back and see what's really going on, and the conflict Marc is fighting within himself.
Mariska and I love to talk about it, so ask questions or give your opinions, it's all good here.

It's interesting to hear someone elses interpretation of the scenes and we dont have to agree all the time.
Don't excuse your English (to me it sounds perfect, but I'm Dutch and my English isn't perfect at all).
Nice that your boyfriend likes this movie and other "gay" movies too. I guess a lot of straight guys would hate it, but I'm not sure. A lot of the reviews and reactions to the movie I read were written by women or gay guys.
I missed the first time a watched free fall a lot of details and symbolics too and after watching a few times and discussing here I changed my opinion about some issues.
