I thought it was actually a bit longer than a year, since they celebrated the babies birthday when Kay was invited yet left because Marc's parents didn't want him there? So the baby would be a year old I'd assume and Marc & Kay started a earlier before the baby was born and very little afterwards :p

I think the celebration was for the baby's birth, not his first birthday. He's still an infant in that scene.

I agree, the party was for the baby's birth.
So I think you are right Nancy, from beginning to end about 3 or 4 months.
