I've never heard of a salmon ladder or a word ladder, and I don't think of those fashions as '80s-specific, or even trends. Take HEADBAND -- girls have worn them since at least the 1950s, and into the '60s and maybe '70s. I was here in the '80s and don't remember seeing any increased amount. I think whoever wrote this was born in the '90s.

 :laugh: That would make that category tough! Track and field is a type of competitive athletics like running, jumping hurdles, pole vaulting.

My knowledge of the term did not help me, however -- I even knew that was probably the category but I'd never heard of "hammer." I'd also never heard of a Cuban heel or double Dutch. I feel bad about the cheeses, though -- should have gotten that. I struck out completely! Unless we're counting groups vertically, in which case I did get the green.  :laugh:
