Going back 40 years or so ( :o ) I used to record a lot on tape, chiefly movies from TCM. Then I realized I was recording all this stuff, but I never had or made time to watch it, so I stopped recording.
I just thought of this now because the thought came to me to wonder if I had any kind of streaming service, if the same thing would happen basically--I'd pay for the service and then never get around to streaming something. It would have to be something I really, seriously wanted to watch.

I basically watch nothing except streaming. I switched to a "smart TV" a couple of years ago, and since then I haven't watched anything on local TV unless it was at someone else's house. I do have the antenna, which is cheap and supposedly very easy to install, that would allow me to get local networks, I haven't gotten around to putting it up. Just about the only thing I need local TV for are presidential debates and the Oscars.
I gathered with a group of neighbors last week to watch the finale of Dancing With the Stars. Two of the people are really into that show. I'd never seen it and had little interest in it, but it was fun to get together. We watched it in the room downstairs that is open to everybody and has several big-screen TVs.

I never had an interest in it, either. I've recently seen a few episodes--I just kept the TV on between two shows I wanted to watch--and it turned out that some of the male professionals were so hot I wondered if I'd been missing something. :laugh:

I noticed that, too! But the one I liked best in the finale was the guy who won, who I'd call more cute than hot.

Robert Irwin. I'd agree--cute but not really hot.
Hot for me was Hilaria Baldwin's partner Gleb Savchenko.
