That's a beautiful finish.  Really, kudos to you.  I'll re-read the whole story to get my mind back on track. 

And, you really do know Chinese dim sums, but what is 'jelly something in light soy sauce'?  I can't figure out what that is.

it is actually a type of noodle and I do not know what it is.  I will see if I can find a picture of it and you can tell me what it is!

I left my bravos and applause on LJ - but in addition to another Thank You -

I just realized that we are ending this short story with sweet Jeremy and his Nicky having the best day of their lives.  And the next short story will give us a new perspective on what will be, at that point, the best day of Ellery's life (followed by many more "best days" with the love of his life).   Thought that was kind of cool - I'm just such a sucker for happy endings - and beautiful beginnings!    :)
