I can't wait until this weekend when I can watch this episode! You all have really stirred my curiosity about it.  :)

Yippeeee! We did it! Come back here and discuss the episode with us as soon as you've seen it, will ya?

I sure will!  :D

But you should go to bed!  ;)

It's late over there in Amsterdam!

I'll drop a post in here just as soon as I watch it.

Where exactly are you, David? I'm in Kansas City.  Which, surprisingly enough, is pretty gay-friendly.  Not in every part of the city, and probably not in some of the 'burbs, but overall, better than people would expect, I'm guessing.

Amy, I'm in Indianapolis. I live on the west side of town (Speedway area).  :)

It is definitely Philaelphia. I've watched it...jeez...fifty times.
yes, that's a TV show, or a short story, as opposed to a movie or a novel. Everything that can't be gotten in has to be implied, and your imagination has to be working full blast. I LOVE short stories...

SPOLIERS!
This song, "Daydream believer," plays from the beginning, though the time Coop appears in the church door with the sun behind him (first chrous) to Coop dead in his police car. I know it's just an old Monkees song, but does anyone (but me) make more of it than that?

Daydream Believer

Oh, I could hide 'neath the wings
Of the bluebird as she sings.
The six o'clock alarm would never ring.
But it rings and I rise,
Wipe the sleep out of my eyes.
My shavin' razor's cold and it stings.

Cheer up, Sleepy Jean.
Oh, what can it mean.
To a daydream believer
And a homecoming queen.

You once thought of me
As a white knight on a steed.
Now you know how happy I can be.
Oh, and our good times start and end
Without dollar one to spend.
But how much, baby, do we really need.

Cheer up, Sleepy Jean.
Oh, what can it mean.
To a daydream believer
And a homecoming queen.
Cheer up, Sleepy Jean.
Oh, what can it mean.
To a daydream believer
And a homecoming queen.

Cheer up, Sleepy Jean.
Oh, what can it mean.
To a daydream believer
And a homecoming queen.

(I never pay much attention to pronouns, nouns or proper nouns when I'm listening to a song...)
