They're too hard for me - I look atr em most every day but, I simply haven't a clue!
Occasionally, I can see the answer given is correct before the confirmation from j.U.d.E. but usually I'm just in a fog!
Gotta admit, Pent was on a roll with the funnybone stuff on that post!
injest:

Sheriff Roland:
Have you ever heard the song "Manhattan"?
It was recorded by Ella Fitzgerald in the 40's(?) and apparently Rod Stewart's recorded it lately ...here are some of the lyrics:
WE`LL HAVE MANHATTAN
THE BRONX AND STATEN ISLAND TOO.
IT`S LOVELY GOING THROUGH THE ZOO.
IT`S VERY FANCY
ON OLD DELANCY STREET YOU KNOW.
THE SUBWAY CHARMS US SO,
WHEN BALMY BREEZES BLOW TO AND FRO.
AND TELL ME WHAT STREET
COMPARES WITH MOTT STREET IN JULY?
SWEET PUSHCARTS GENTLY GLIDING BY.
THE GREAT BIG CITY`S A WOND`ROUS TOY
JUST MADE FOR A GIRL AND BOY.
WE`LL TURN MANHATTAN INTO AN ISLE OF JOY.
Well, I just listened to a 1925 version of the song by the biggest artist of the 1920's and it sounds Sooo "roaring 20's" - it's an instrumental (1925 version) I haven't heard a lot a roaring 20's sound in the 1920's music - songs like "We're in the money" & "The Original Charleston"
This was a fun find!
Want me ta send you a copy?
