HA HA!

I am sure you have these kind of places up there too....most eateries are in well populated areas but occassionally you will find a mom and pop place out in the middle of no where? Either has fantastic or totally disgusting food...rarely anything in between. Fold up chairs and roughcut lumber tables...wax cloth table cloths.

There are some little fish places out by various lakes that have the BEST fish on the planet...the decor lacks a little...'refinement' but dang the food is good!

Yup - yer describin 'Flapjacks', in the middle a nowhere on highway 10, right near the exit fer Bellefountain - a picturesque area with a ton a motorcycles anytime a the spring/summer/and especially fall. The first time I went there, was some 25 years ago - I went as a buddy rider on the back of a large Honda, before I got my own motorcycle. Place specializes on all day breakfasts includin, you guess it, pancakes. They also sell homemade bread, pies and jams. And there has always been a line-up ta get in - even at 3 in the afternoon!

Nope, and the tables are not as rustic as you described it (but it's hard to find two matching cups fer coffee!)

And the washrooms were newly rebuilt last few times Bryan & I went - one stall for the ladies, one stall for the gents!
