Hope he'll be tearin down that first flowerbed ... prob'ly reorganising the second one (the one who's borders I put up this week). He asked me what I was hopin ta see put in there, so between the two of us we can prob'y find a nice balance a bushy leafs, and flowers, while repecting the limits of height (esthetics), sun pref'rences and time a year appropriateness.
Plus he wants to start planning my Alberta trip.

I love glads ... Bryan calls em old folks flowers ...
Problem is, they don't survive the winter and the bulbs have to be brought in & kept in a dry place each winter and replanted in the spring ...
Maybe when I retire I'll have time for this (If there's still room in the yard!)

Gladdies!!! Now those are flowers we have here! Dame Edna and her gladdies are an institution in Oz.
