fritzkep:
I'm missing the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. If I can get back to Alaska sometime, I'd love to take the road north from Edmonton to Yellowknife, tour around, then loop around back to the Alaska Highway at near Fort Nelson. Wonderful area. The road was unpaved the first time I went in the mid-70's, but a little over ten years ago it was paved except for construction areas. It was nice to be able to appreciate the scenery a bit more and not concentrate on avoiding potholes in the road!
Sheriff Roland:
Ain't been to any a the territories ,,, don't count em cause they're not provinces.
What's your favourite province there Fitz? Mine's Québec. And of the 20 or so States I've been to, I guess it's a toss up between Utah and Minnesota
injest:
if I were ever to do a cruise I would want to go up into Alaska...the water looks so blue and the glaciers are just amazing!
fritzkep:
I do love to visit Québec indeed, especially to get the opportunity to speak a bit of French. But for scenery, I'm quite partial to Alberta, which was why I was especially happy to visit there this summer. As far as the states go, I find there are wonderful things to see and do everywhere, though if I ever won the lottery big and could retire anywhere I wanted to, I'd be most partial to northern New Mexico. I love that area, ever since I first went there back in Army days in the early 70's.
injest:
oh no!! You speak French!!??
ok...opening the window to Babelfish...

(Roland is very proud of his French heritage...and I overlook it....)
