yes!! LOL...when a big blizzard comes in and you get snowed in and businesses are closed...how do you get paid? I would think a lot of people up there are like down here. living paycheck to paycheck....how do they get by when things shut down?

Well, I do accounting for Gallahue Mental Health Services, a part of Community Hospitals Indianapolis, and I do most of the work out of my house. I only report to the office once or twice a week. So, no snow pay for me unfortunately! But I have NEVER worked for a company that gave snow pay. If they closed down the business for the day due to the weather, everyone went unpaid, unless they had some personal days saved up. Many people are on salary (I am) so it really wouldn't make any difference. We get paid the same no matter how many hours a week we work (believe me, it's not as good as it sounds! They work my ass off sometimes).
I suppose some companies give snow pay, but I have never worked for one. :(
