I want to go back there in the next month or so and see what's going on. I worked at the newspaper when I lived there, and much as I was glad to not have to be part of that chaos I was also a tiny bit wistful that I was missing such a big historical moment. But the history really isn't over, and the community is far from recovered.

How about you David? Planning a trip down there anytime soon?

Oh Yes Katherine! I will go back down there.

I go down there every once or twice a year to see my family.

No, I understand. On New Year's Eve, my family dined at this really old restaurant in Denver in which every inch of wall space was covered with an animal head. The menu was also pretty meat-heavy. It was not the best New Year's Eve for my 10-year-old son, the vegetarian.

I've gotta go, too. See y'all later!
