Kerry:
The Gold Coast is located in the Australian state of Queensland, David, which is to the immediate north of New South Wales, where I live. It can best be described as being like Florida in the USA. Lots of people retire there 'cause the weather is hot and real estate prices are low, and lots of people go there on vacation 'cause there are theme parks/casino, etc. The Gold Coast is not my personal favourite part of Australia (no offence to my Aussie cousins in the Deep North lol). However, also part of Queensland is the Great Barrier Reef, which is a stunningly beautiful part of Australia, and it has zillions of gorgeous little (and large) islands to visit - and I think one of your options is a small private island.  :D

I don't want to go to any of these places!    :(
