A Special Series: Virtual Tour Videos

Phillip Dampier:
This thread will contain video clips that pertain to touring those special places from the film and the mountain west in general.  We start with a virtual timelapse road trip from Calgary to Banff, which is not too far away from the filming locations for Brokeback.  It gives you a sense of the area.  Check out the low clouds and drizzle, and the gentle flatlands near Calgary that give way to increasingly mountainous areas.  It's evidently an hour by car, but this time-compression gets you there in just under three minutes.  One of the things budding younger YouTube people still haven't a handle on is the concept of music continuity.  What the filmmaker was thinking when they selected the music is beyond me.  It says everything but Alberta.   :P
