Howdy folks,
Here's our first project, the 'BetterMost Beans' can label. I saw this idea at the Colorado BetterMost B-B-Q and it gave me the spark to create my own label for my collection of Brokeback junk! Now you can all have a can of genuine, swimming in tomato sauce, flatuence producin', Ennis loves 'em, BetterMost Beans! Just like Jack used to make!
http://home.pacbell.net/toycoon/Label.jpg (http://home.pacbell.net/toycoon/Label.jpg)
Just download the jpeg to your desktop and resize it to fit on a 15 oz. can of beans.
The label size should be approximately 4.18" X 10.0". Cut it out then glue or tape to a 15 oz. can. Enjoy!
Ah shucks toycoon .... it won't show me the picture .... Help!!!!
I like cutting stuff up ... this is going to be fun!
Susie (http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/11/11_1_201.gif)
>:( my computer says it can´t show the picture because it contains errors. What does that mean? I want to do that!!!
But when I right click on it, it won't let me save it!!! boooohoooo!
Susie (http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/11/11_1_201.gif)
I can see both sizes of the label just fine, Oscar, on my Mac.Adam offered me a BetterMost Beans can at the BBQ but I was too embarrassed to accept. Wanting the BetterMost beans label is what prompted me to create my own. Then I got the idea to share it with the rest of the Brokies and start this thread. I love crafts and this will be a really fun place for crafts and projects. I want to create postcards, a label for 'Old Rose' Whiskey, even bumper stickers that everyone can download and print at home. If anyone bought any of the movie props or has a clear picture of some of them, please let me know and email me personally.
I asked f I could take one of those cans of beans home from the BBQ, and it is one of my favorite possessions.
This is a really great idea. If you think of it, PM me every time there is a new craft, and I'll put it on the banner for everyone to see.
You're not on an apple mac are you?? I know they sometimes have compatibility problems with pc's .... I still can't see it .... (http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_9_2.gif)
Susie (http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/11/11_1_201.gif)
Hi Toycoon! Nice to see you here. The JPEG didn't work for me but the PDF did.
Why does it say KIDNEY beans? I've never heard of kidney beans in tomatoe sauce.
Ain't it made with kidney beans? Why did you say tomatoe sauce? That like tomatoe jam?
I guess I pulled a Dan Quail there didn't I, lol!
But at least I know what's in a can of baked beans: Navy Beans. ;-)
I've never heard of kidney beans in tomatoe sauce. And I've never heard of a rabbit trying to jump in a snake hole with a coyote on its tail!!
And I've never heard of a rabbit trying to jump in a snake hole with a coyote on its tail!! ;D
Okay, I have a craft project: my recipe for something Jack and Ennis didn't need...lube!! But first, the Old Rose whiskey label, please!!
I hope we have one with instructions on how to fold the Sunday paper into a Resistol. ;D
 Loved this.
And maybe we should all start to collect our daily newspapers for the time Oscar will post the instruction how to make a tent out of them, including how to waterproof it with lanolin ;D.
I'll have to sit that one out. I'm allergic to all sheep products, including lanolin.
Dang, I was planning to whip up a batch for you for your birthday!!

Hey gang,
Here's your newest project. It's the first, unauthorized Brokeback Mountain Fold-In!
http://home.pacbell.net/toycoon/BMfold-in.jpg (http://home.pacbell.net/toycoon/BMfold-in.jpg)
Just download the jpeg to yer desktop and print. Then follow the directions and enjoy! Let me know how ya like it.
I'm gonna send Ellemeno the PDF file so she can post it for ya' PC users, OK?
Golly Shasta,
That was fast! I'm glad you like it. My early development was shaped (ruined) by MAD magazine, what can I say.
Yey! It worked .... I'm going to get some strange ... and slightly worried looks from my children the next time they go in the cupboard!Anatomically correct of course! :o
Toycoon ... how about a cut-out Jack and Ennis doll, with cut out clothes and accessories? (you know, the ones with the little tabs that you can fold over the doll). Then I can dress them ..... or undress them!!!
Susie (http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/11/11_1_201.gif)
Re attaching pdf files: anyone can do it!! As you are writing your post, look down at the lower left, where it says "More Options." That's the key to attaching files (and several other interesting, fun things). Happy attaching!

Thanks Susiebell,
Actually, that helps a lot! I'll have to cut and paste some to get the right view of Jake.
Any of you heathens got any naked pictures of Heath to contribute? Oilgun, that means you!

Howdy folks,
Here our new project for the week: The Jack Twist Magnetic Dress up Doll.
http://home.pacbell.net/toycoon/Jackpaperdoll1.pdf (http://home.pacbell.net/toycoon/Jackpaperdoll1.pdf)
Just print the page on an 8.5" X 11.0" page then glue or double stick the page to a thin magnetic sheet (available at craft stores). Carefully cut to the figure and the accessories to the line with a utility knife (be VERY careful as they are sharp) or a sharp pair of scissors. Then stick Jack to the refrigerator and enjoy putting Jack's clothes on or taking them off!
WOOOOOOOOOWEEEEEEEEEEEE
I can't seem to get the pants off though....
I can't seem to get the pants off though....
Well, thank you, Snavel del Snuit! If you don't have a magnetic refrigerator, you can glue the sheet to a piece of lightweight cardboard. Then add tabs to the sides of the accessories, cut them out and dress Jack by folding the tabs over the figure like the old-fashioned paper dolls.
That was awesome! (I also found this on the web for people interested in another "dress Jake" doll...)
Removabe pants? "Fruit of the loom" tighty whites?
Yay! Thanks, True Oracle. I've got another dress-up doll in the works. This time it will be Ennis.
Do you fellers have any idea how hard to was to cobble together images from the film (all over the web) to create the doll I made? It took hours last Friday night. I'm too busy this weekend to deal with it!

You've got style, that's what all the girls say
Satin sheets and luxuries so fine
All your suits are custom made in London
But I've got something that you'll really like
Gonna dress you up in my love
All over, all over
Gonna dress you up in my love
All over your body
Feel the silky touch of my caresses
They will keep you looking so brand new
Let me cover you with velvet kisses
I'll create a look that's made for you
Gonna dress you up in my love, in my love
All over your body, all over your body
In my love
All over, all over
From your head down to your toes
Hi Oscar! I hope you realize I was just joking when I made those comments about Jake's underwear. I think your paper doll looks very nice. I've printed it out and I'm planning on cutting out all the pieces this weekend. :D
... Then stick Jack to the refrigerator and enjoy putting Jack's clothes on or taking them off!
Hi Shas!!!
Is it bad that I don't care if I put any of Jack's clothes ON?
:P  :P
It looks great Toycoon, Congrats! My aversion to crafts has kept me off this thread but I see I've been missing some fun stuff, lol!
Will there be a Heath paper doll?
I have an Ennis dress up doll in the works, just for you, Mr. Oilgun!
Tune in this weekend for the latest craft project.
Is he going to be a refrigerator magnet like Jack is?
*David gets all excited*
Mmmmm! I can't wait!!! :D
Hey kids,
Here's the latest project for y'all: the magnetic Ennis dress up doll.
Thanks Toycoon! My very own Magnetic Ennis!
You are so welcome, oilgun. Can you recognise the different pictures I combined to make the Ennis doll? That alone, would make an interesting game!I'm pretty sure I could figure it out. I recognized the torso right away!:
Hey kids,
Here's the latest project for y'all: the magnetic Ennis dress up doll. Print out the page. Glue the page to a thin magnetic sheet (from the craft store) and with a sharp utility knife or a pair of scissors, cut each of the pieces to the line. Now Jack and Ennis can be together on your refrigerator forever!
Here is my Ennis doll!! The sign (I know I misspelled a word) has been on the fridge since October--when I first saw the movie and someone on the IMDb board pointed out the sign on Aquirre's trailer. Ennis on guard!! I love it.

Tycooon - you can tell you are a toy designer!!!!
Dio you ever design the toys for adults AND kids ... like action figures... ?? You know like the star war ones... what does the film have to do to get action figures?? (Hint hint!!!)
have i told you how much I love this thread!?

THANK YOU, TOYCOON!!!
It looks great... but where's the love of his life? He should be next to him on the refrigerator! ;)
Absolutely. Thank you. I got some magnetic paper for ink jet printers at Staples and printed mine on those. They came out be-yoo-tiful. I put 'em on my refrigerator, and, wouldn't you know it, I spilled some water on them while getting the ice trays into the freezer. Now, they're smeared, and, like me, they ain't as magnetic as they were once they get moist. Does anyone know of anything I can treat them with to preserve them, a clear coat of something?
Impress yer friends; get loaded and speak more than you have in a whole year!
   my poor friends!
Dagi
You know your friends love you (and so do I).
Toycoon
P.S. Especially when you bring the whiskey!
Impress yer friends; get loaded and speak more than you have in a whole year!
I've always wanted to be able to ask a distiller this:
American Toycoon Distillery was established in 1866, but Old Rose is only since 1904.
What the hell were you makin before that? Moonshine?
Good idea! I bet he won't ... he's not very observant. He doesn't notice anything unless it's right in front of his nose, especially if Middlesbrough's playing on the telly ... I could stretch out naked on top of the TV and he'd just ask me to move my arm out of the way of the screen!  :laugh:Hey Susie - this will explain all!
Susie (http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/11/11_1_201.gif)
ps. I noticed you and Dagi are Brokeback Supporters now ... what's one of them?
If anyone is interested (and it has not been posted yet) I found and joined this forum a few months ago:
www.craftster.org/forum
I have found tons of ideas from this forum. It's a lot of fun.
Another brilliant project toycoon ... you're not just a pretty face are you!!

Hey there cowboys and cowgirls,
Here's our newest project on Brokeback Mountain Craft Corner, Ennis' License Plate.
Print the jpeg on an a sheet of 8.5" x 11" paper, then mount the sheet onto a piece of lightweight chip board.
Cut it out to the edge, punch out the holes with a hole punch and put it on your dusty, old pick-up truck or hang it on the wall to decorate your lonely trailer.
Hey there cowboys and cowgirls!
In honor of Ennis and Jack's Upcoming September Reunion, here is your project for the week: the Ennis and Jack Postcards!
Simply print the page, spray mount it to a piece of light cardboard then cut each postcard out. Next, address it and send one to a friend you haven't spoken to in four years. Let us know how it turns out!

Can I make a request for Brokeback Mountain tarot cards?? This would be a big project but I'd be glad to help!!
Okay, I'm starting a separate thread for this now!! Y'all come and visit!

OMG! I am so hard right now!!
This seems like a BIG project although a thoroughly worthwhile one. Could we commence after the holidaze?
Honest to God, I can't bear one more project this season (or this year)!

okay, i spoke with oscar earlier today and he told me about this thread!
i said i'd contribute, so here is a project i did as gifts for a mini-slash bash
last last year in los angeles... click on the sample image for a larger version
to print out (on speckled oatmeal colored paper for best effect), then cut on
the light gray lines and wrap it around a bar of plain ivory soap. a little dab of
glue-stick should work to keep the label affixed... and you're good to go! enjoy!

they make great stocking stuffers for brokies that are near and dear.
oh dang, is christmas over already? well... you can always plan ahead!
;)
• bbm cross stitch? i could see the traditional "home sweet home" theme turned into a piece that ways, "it could be like this, just like this always." ^_^
I like this idea. I bet I could do something with it. But don't expect a finished piece this week! ;D
Toycoon - the only "Oscar" that really matters to me!
Ha ha! Maybe I should create a craft project to award a posthumous "Oscar" to Heath Ledger for Brokeback Mountain.
I'm hoping he wins a real one for his work in The Dark Night. Hell, it's only right.
That is a great idea.

Hi there
Does anyone have the Bettermost beans label saved on their hd?
The link to it in this thread is broken.
I would love to have it
Here it is Monika.Hi clyde! Can you see it when you click on that link? When I try it, all I see is a square with a red X.
Thanks again to Toycoon for all his hard work!

But thanks for the effort nonetheless :-*
