You Would Do Most Things For Love

You Would Do a Little For Love
Yes, love is important to you. But you also want to be loved for who you are.
So you won't be doing a lot of changing or sacrificing for love.
If you're not good enough as is, then it's not really love.


My sister just recently got dumped by her younger lover.  She called me to commiserate, wondering - as I have been single for some years now - if it's worth the pain to continue searching for that true love.

I honestly had to tell her, a relationship is as good or bad as what you can take from it.  If you had a good time, have learned postive things and have a majority of good memories to take with you, then however the relationship ended, it was worthwhile.  If you cannot, then the relationship was not worth the pain.  In life, after a while, you start to tally up the number of relationships that ended well, versus those that ended painfully and sometimes decide staying home alone with the cats sounds like a sweet life.  :P
