Takes place in 1983 after the "I wish I knew how to quit you" argument.
Eventually,  Ennis and Jack have a better idea.

Yes, welcome. Read chapter one--nice job! Looking forward to reading the rest (I know it's there, or at least part of it.) Good title too. Love titles! (I usually steal mine, though...guys are dead; they won't mind...)

I certainly have read your story, all of it in one sitting this morning in fact.  I wont post anything about it here in case other people havnt read it, I dont want to spoil it, but it,s very good, some hot stuff too! :o :o :o :o .  One of my fave pics of our boys for you , I think it,s a lovely picture of them together.  :P  So lovely I framed it.

Just finished reading the 36 chapters that are posted earlier this evening.  What an wonderful experience that was.  And the final reading session (and yes, I read it aloud!) took most all day.  My hat is off to you ohiomyown for having conceived such a wonderfully heartwarming sweet life for our Jack and Ennis!  I really didn't want it to come to an end!

Evenin'.

I've been reading this all along, and have downloaded it to read over.  I also did that again yesterday.  A lot happened in the 8 months between the fight at the trailhead and Christmas 1984.  Truly a great story of love confirmed and reconfirmed, lost and then found.  JC's journey particularly; an intriguing reason for his meanness to Jack.  Also liked the extending family; don't recall any other fanfic giving Jack such an extended family.  Too bad they (especially Walter) didn't do an intervention years ago, to save veryone a lot of physical and emotional aching.  But, then again, look what their lives led them to: Jack found Ennis, they both found true love, and eventually they found a way and the courage to live together. 

Thanks again.  Looking forward to updates (hint,hint!).
