Whoa! I thought I had been in a bad storm before!

My car was in a hail storm a couple of weeks ago. Golf-ball-sized hail. Now much of the car is pocked with dents -- the hood, the roof, the back end, and along the top of the doors on the driver's side. The windshield was already cracked, but now it's more cracked. Altogether, $4,300 worth of damage.
I'm just going to keep the money, though. My car is seven years old, 80,000 miles, not in perfect shape already. I figure all those little dents just give it character. They're certainly a conversation starter.
I felt sorry for my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Their cars were out there with mine, but theirs are both brand new.

A hailstorm destroyed the entire crop up at Lightning Flat, just two days before we visited there. Corn and hay, all gone.
